Spring has arrived and with the sunny weather, chirping birds, and spring rains; it’s time to take your health into consideration! Striving to make healthy changes with the weather change can motivate you to remain consistent and reach your goals. But how can you make the change from winter couch potato to having a spring in your step?
First, if you’re making big changes from a sedentary lifestyle to one of increased activity (especially if you’re adding a new fitness regimen to your day), you should make an appointment with your Doctor to discuss your general health. Make sure you’re drinking at least the daily-recommended value of water a day – 8, 8 ounce glasses – to avoid dehydration. Adding raw or steamed vegetables, fresh fruit, and whole grains like quinoa and brown rice can help you reach your goals faster.
